Head Start Teacher

The Head Start Teacher will collaborate closely with the Center Director to foster a classroom atmosphere that caters to the diverse needs of children. This role involves designing activities that enhance Early Childhood Development practices, motivating children to engage in activities, resolve challenges, and learn through discovery and play.

Essential Skills & Competencies:
  • Understanding of Early Childhood Education methodologies and best practices.
  • Effective communication abilities in English with children, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Capability to follow directives, manage office equipment, and utilize standard software applications.
  • Awareness of the distinct needs of families and proficient communication techniques.
  • Skillful in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and online resources.
  • Background in Early Childhood Education with a relevant degree or comparable professional experience.
  • Proven ability to design and execute age-appropriate educational activities.

In the capacity of a Head Start Teacher, the individual will be tasked with establishing a nurturing educational environment, conducting evaluations, and fostering children's holistic development. They will work in partnership with families, maintain precise records, and ensure adherence to regulations and standards.
