Position Overview

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is a prominent advocate for empowerment and opportunity for African Americans and other communities in the region, focusing on economic self-sufficiency, social equality, and civil rights. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about community service to take on the role of Program Coordinator for our Federation of Block Units Public Safety Collaborative (STLPSC).

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for executing established strategies to meet contractual objectives while overseeing and monitoring service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Oversee program personnel by offering guidance, constructive feedback, and support.
  • Draft, amend, and evaluate data-sharing and grant agreements as necessary.
  • Co-facilitate discussions within STLPSC concerning intervention strategies.
  • Lead bi-monthly meetings focused on STLPSC implementation strategies and subsequent follow-ups.
  • Provide project management assistance in developing Implementation Strategy Project Plans and Updates, offering frameworks for STLPSC members.
  • Design and present informative sessions related to STLPSC initiatives.
  • Foster relationships with community stakeholders, local leaders, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Coordinate logistics for STLPSC participation in public safety meetings, training sessions, workshops, and conferences.
  • Manage communication for STLPSC.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to relevant stakeholders regarding STLPSC activities.
  • Assist in identifying trends, developing risk narratives, and formulating community-driven solutions through RTMDx analysis.
  • Generate content for regular updates and progress reports for STLPSC.

The qualifications for this role typically include a combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, along with experience in public administration and three years of working with diverse client demographics, is preferred.
