Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (ATR) is on the lookout for a part-time permanent position in our Engineering Services Division. Established in 1973, ATR is a respected engineering firm that provides innovative solutions to government and Fortune 500 clients.
Compensation: The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. ATR also offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes Medical/Dental insurance, basic life/ADD insurance, long-term and short-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, educational assistance, and five weeks of paid leave annually for employees with minimum seniority.

Key Responsibilities:The selected candidate will serve as a Senior Manager of Underwater Weapons Programs at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division. This role involves contributing to prestigious military initiatives that enhance the US Navy's warfare capabilities within the Surface Systems Branch. The successful applicant will collaborate with other engineers and managers, providing expert underwater weapons support across various division programs.
Qualifications:- Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Over 15 years of experience with Navy Underwater Weapons
- Proven experience in Navy Program Management
- Track record of managing projects related to Navy weapon systems and components
- Experience with Navy or Department of Defense operations is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Navy underwater weaponry
- Strong grasp of requirements management, risk analysis, data management, configuration management, and verification and validation principles
- Experience in managing projects for Navy weapon systems, product improvement initiatives, and manufacturing technologies
- Proficiency in developing and tracking integrated master schedules
- Ability to produce analytical reports and weekly updates
- Skilled in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to address their challenges and develop collaborative solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Adept at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Candidates must be US citizens and capable of obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. A current successful background investigation is advantageous.
