Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (ATR) is actively seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Senior Underwater Weapons Program Manager. Established in 1973, ATR is a reputable engineering firm dedicated to providing innovative solutions for government and Fortune 500 clients.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on qualifications, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance, basic life/ADD coverage, long-term and short-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, educational assistance, and five weeks of paid leave annually for employees with minimum seniority.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be an integral part of ATR's Engineering Services Division, contributing as a Senior Underwater Weapons Program Manager at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division. This role involves collaboration with engineers and managers to provide expert underwater weapons support across various division programs. The candidate will engage in teamwork with program technical leads and their engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Over 15 years of experience with Navy Underwater Weapons
- Proficient in Navy Program Management
- Experience managing projects related to Navy weapon systems and components
- Prior experience with Navy or Department of Defense is preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of Navy underwater weaponry
- Strong grasp of requirements management, risk analysis, data management, configuration management, and verification and validation principles
- Experience in managing projects for Navy weapon systems, product improvement initiatives, and manufacturing technologies
- Proficient in developing and tracking integrated master schedules
- Skilled in report writing and analysis
- Adept at interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to address their technical challenges and devise collaborative solutions
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements:
The candidate must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. A successful background investigation completion is advantageous.
