Your Role:
You will spearhead initiatives to construct, renovate, and modify our clients' facility portfolio in response to evolving mission demands. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of mechanical compliance within a dynamic manufacturing setting, including industrial systems that adhere to stringent humidity and temperature controls, as well as explosion-proof equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your engineering expertise to revolutionize DoD weapons testing.
- Ensure that the facilities, energy, and infrastructure supporting testing are primed to meet the challenges posed by the evolving landscape of weapons testing.
- Execute facility design services and assist in the evaluation of designs for adherence to codes and energetic manufacturing protocols, enabling our client to achieve cutting-edge facilities through construction and commissioning.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in design within a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in developing statements of work and assessing facility designs for compliance with relevant codes, standards, and requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry standards pertaining to mechanical systems, including the International Building Code (IBC), ASHRAE standards, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), NFPA, or ASME.
  • Awareness of local, state, and federal regulations concerning mechanical and HVAC system compliance.
  • Capability to design facilities and support the review of designs completed by others for code compliance.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with engineering MEP construction drawing sets.
  • Background in a laboratory environment, including strict tolerances for temperature, humidity, and ventilation.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License.
