Your Role:
You will spearhead initiatives to construct, refurbish, and modify our clients' facility portfolio in response to evolving mission needs. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of mechanical compliance within a dynamic manufacturing setting, including industrial systems that adhere to stringent humidity and temperature specifications and explosion-proof equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your engineering expertise to transform Department of Defense (DoD) weapons testing.
- Ensure that the facilities, energy, and infrastructure supporting testing are prepared to meet the challenges posed by the evolving landscape of weapons testing.
- Complete facility design services and assist in the review of designs for adherence to codes and energetic manufacturing processes, facilitating the realization of state-of-the-art facilities through construction and commissioning.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in design within a professional context.
  • Proficient in developing statements of work and evaluating facility designs for compliance with relevant codes, standards, and requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry standards related to mechanical systems, including the International Building Code (IBC), ASHRAE standards, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), NFPA, or ASME.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding mechanical and HVAC system compliance.
  • Capability to design facilities and support the evaluation of designs created by others for compliance with regulations.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with engineering MEP construction drawing sets.
  • Background in a laboratory environment, particularly with strict tolerances for temperature, humidity, and ventilation.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License.

Clearance Requirements:
Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
