Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Support Specialist II to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our customers and ensuring the seamless operation of our electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Epic Application Knowledge
    • Attend team meetings to gain in-depth understanding of system concepts and functionality
  • Issue Documentation
    • Document all calls into our call tracking application
  • Communication
    • Work with level 1 Help Desk and level 2 support staff to coordinate documentation and resolution of issues or requests for enhancements or optimization
  • Customer Service
    • Work on complex analytical and integrated issues to address end-user issues
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform all other job-related duties as required, including support of applications at the discretion of the Manager
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Management, or a related field
  • Three or more years of experience in a Healthcare setting, with knowledge of clinical workflow, documentation, and practice standards
  • Experience working with electronic health records and other clinical information systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize actions
