Position Overview

Workshops for Warriors is a nonprofit organization established to support veterans and wounded warriors in transitioning to advanced manufacturing careers. Our commitment is to provide exceptional training, recognized certifications, practical experience, and job placement assistance at no cost to those who have served our country.

In this role, the Admissions Consultant II/III operates under the guidance of the Director of Admissions, Enrollment, and Recruiting. The primary responsibility is to assist and guide prospective students through the enrollment process for Workshops for Warriors programs. This includes explaining the admissions criteria, reviewing eligibility requirements, and providing insights into financial responsibilities associated with the programs, as well as informing candidates about available financial aid options such as SkillBridge, GI Bill, and Title 38 Educational Assistance.

The Admissions Consultant is tasked with building relationships with potential students, helping them find programs that align with their academic and career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students throughout the enrollment journey by addressing inquiries, directing them to essential information, and clarifying the admissions process.
  • Engage with prospective students through various communication channels to facilitate enrollment into Workshops for Warriors programs.
  • Assess the eligibility of candidates based on admissions and institutional requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of completed applications and the submission of necessary supporting documents.
  • Gather information and qualify candidates for various programs, services, or courses.
  • Offer guidance and recommendations to applicants and prospective candidates.
  • Maintain communication with students during the enrollment process to ensure all required documents are received.
  • Stay updated on new programs and developments within the organization to provide accurate information to prospective students.
  • Keep detailed records in Salesforce (CRM) throughout the enrollment cycle.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly reports on progress, conversion rates, and related metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Meet daily activity metrics and expectations set for the department.
  • Follow up with prospective students to arrange appointments, school tours, class observations, and assistance with housing or financial aid needs.
  • Serve as a backup to the Director of Enrollment as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are required:

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience with databases/CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inside sales, admissions, customer service, higher education, or a related field.
  • Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Military experience is an advantage.

Position Details: This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position requiring 40+ hours per week.

Compensation: The hourly pay for this position is competitive and will consider various factors including skills, qualifications, and experience.
