Client Relationship Executive II/III

Overview:

Independently cultivate and oversee robust primary connections with plan sponsors and channel partners through regular client interactions, including on-site engagements, proactive outreach, professional negotiations, responsive communication, and effective problem-solving. Collaborate with sponsors and channel partners to comprehend their challenges and requirements, acting as a liaison between internal departments and the client to initiate enhancements and resolve concerns. Keep clients informed promptly about industry and regulatory developments and elucidate their implications. Offer consulting services on plan design.

Enhance client retention by conducting annual plan assessments for decision-makers and initiating proactive outreach and meetings. Provide investment advisory services, updates on fund lineups, and deliver comprehensive Investment Due Diligence and Monitoring Reports.

Facilitate the onboarding of assigned new groups with the plan sponsor and channel partners. This may involve assisting in data collection, managing the new business submission process, delivering necessary documents and agreements, and maintaining communication with the plan sponsor and channel partners.

Oversee all facets of the enrollment, re-enrollment, and educational processes. This includes proactively scheduling, determining content, preparing for, and conducting meetings.

Engage in sales presentations as a relationship manager when requested by the sales manager. Advocate for new products and services to plan sponsors.

Provide mentorship and direction to junior Client Service Consultants.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required. A degree or experience in Business Administration is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in relationship management within the retirement plans sector or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Comprehensive knowledge of qualified plans, ERISA, and qualified plan investments is essential. Familiarity with The Standard's retirement plan offerings is preferred.

Professional certification required: NASD series 6, 63, 65; or equivalent is mandatory. Certification in the retirement plans industry is preferred or in progress.

Travel is a requirement.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree

Skills and Certifications:

Are you capable of traveling 25-50% (primarily day travel)? Do you possess current series 6 or 7 along with series 63 or 65 designations?

Ideal Candidate:

3-5 years of experience as a relationship manager. Experience in an advisor-centric environment is advantageous.
