The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Social Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst II/III to join the Fiscal Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all Fiscal Division operations, grant management, state and federal reporting, and large expenditure claims.
Key Responsibilities- Perform professional accounting and budgetary work involved in establishing, analyzing, auditing, reconciling, and maintaining financial records in support of designated programs or an assigned division or department.
- Provide fiscal administrative support in the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of the departmental annual budget and designated budgets and accounts.
- Prepare and audit various financial, statistical, and budgetary reports, statements, and records.
A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, including 12 semester units or 18 quarter units of accounting.
- One year of experience at a level equivalent to Financial Analyst I for Accountant II, and two years of experience at a level equivalent to Financial Analyst II for Accountant III.
Applications, including answers to supplemental questions, must be submitted online. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and are best qualified will be invited to participate in selection activities, which may include online assessments, performance exams, written exams, and interviews.
