Position Overview:
This role will primarily focus on supporting the Finance Team Management with account evaluations, monthly closing activities, and forecasting for the organization. The ideal candidate must be a self-sufficient thinker and contribute to the development of streamlined accounting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
  • Oversee and assess invoices and expense reports in a web-based document management system for proper documentation and authorization.
  • Investigate, analyze, and reconcile departmental/vendor invoices as necessary.
General Ledger and Reporting:
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations in line with the monthly closing schedule.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and analyses.
  • Draft and input journal entries.
Additional Duties:
  • Support external audits, including various state tax, league, and year-end audits.
  • Contribute to processes that ensure precise and timely financial reporting.
  • Engage in ad-hoc analyses and projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office products, particularly strong Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Sage (MAS) or similar accounting software is preferred.
  • Experience with Concur or similar web-based document management platforms is preferred.
  • Must be enthusiastic and eager to learn with a collaborative mindset.
  • Must demonstrate accuracy and efficiency, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must possess strategic and critical thinking skills, being dynamic, forward-thinking, extremely analytical, and well-organized.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms are essential.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times and be comfortable working with all levels of management.
