Position Overview:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Financial Planner and Analyst for a contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess a strong focus on critical business elements that influence essential financial indicators such as earnings, cash flow, orders, and revenue. This role involves a continuous evaluation of variances, understanding the reasons behind changes, and strategizing to achieve targeted business outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning across Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Statistics.
  • Coordinating, preparing, and analyzing diverse financial reports and data prior to submission.
  • Performing weekly closure analysis and reporting for Orders, Sales, Operating Income, and Cash Flow.
  • Developing and maintaining program working capital within the forecasting system.
  • Forecasting and providing variance analysis for program cash.
  • Collaborating closely with program finance to formulate monthly forecasts.
  • Driving comprehension of variances and working with relevant individuals to pinpoint corrective actions, risks, or opportunities arising from those variances.

The candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Creating and delivering executive-level presentations tailored for both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Developing the annual operating plan.
  • Conducting monthly balance sheet and cash analysis/forecast and variance analysis.
  • Implementing financial reporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Designing tools, templates, and processes to streamline data collection and report preparation, ensuring relevance and appropriate detail.
  • Handling ad hoc financial requests.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Prior experience with Hyperion Planning & Oracle SmartView is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks independently.
  • Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (accredited institution) is required.

Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
