Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is in search of a Senior Financial Planner and Analyst to take on a contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing critical financial metrics that influence business performance, including earnings, cash flow, orders, and revenue.


Key Responsibilities:

The ideal applicant will:

  • Engage in forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, focusing on Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and relevant statistics.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and analyze a variety of financial reports and data prior to submission.
  • Conduct weekly closure analysis and reporting for Orders, Sales, Operating Income, and Cash Flow.
  • Develop and maintain program working capital within the forecasting system.
  • Forecast and provide variance analysis for program cash, collaborating closely with program finance to create monthly forecasts.
  • Drive the understanding of variances, working with relevant stakeholders to identify corrective actions, risks, or opportunities arising from those variances.
  • Prepare and present executive-level presentations tailored for both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Contribute to the annual operating plan development and perform monthly balance sheet and cash analysis/forecast along with variance analysis.
  • Lead financial reporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Create tools, templates, and processes that streamline data gathering and report preparation, ensuring the relevance and appropriateness of the information collected.
  • Address ad hoc financial requests as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Prior experience with Hyperion Planning and Oracle SmartView.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
  • The ability to manage and execute multiple tasks independently.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is highly desirable, along with:

  • General ledger accounting knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday.
