This position provides the opportunity for flexible work arrangements, including on-site, hybrid, or fully remote options, in accordance with the organization's remote work guidelines.

The primary responsibility of the Sponsored Programs Financial Analyst is to manage, reconcile, and evaluate expenditures associated with sponsored projects, ensuring compliance with the specific terms and conditions of each award. The role also involves preparing invoices and financial statements for sponsors and assisting in the provision of necessary documentation for financial audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting independent reviews of sponsored project terms and conditions, identifying reporting, invoicing, and other specific financial obligations, while tracking tasks through the financial management system.
  • Examining payments from various sponsors, appropriately allocating funds to the respective projects, and proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies through thorough research and data analysis.
  • Interpreting complex situations related to non-compliance with sponsor requirements and promptly escalating concerns to senior management as necessary.
  • Receiving training from leadership and external sources to understand state, federal, and non-federal sponsor terms, utilizing extensive knowledge of industry standards to navigate post-award financial management challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in grant and contract management is essential. Alternatively, four additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
