The Commonwealth of Virginia is in search of a skilled professional to fill the role of Clinical Trials Financial Analyst within the Cancer Center Office of Clinical Research (OCR).

The Clinical Trials Financial Analyst will work in close partnership with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with the regulations that govern clinical research billing practices. This position involves crafting budgets, negotiating financial terms, facilitating contract discussions, and overseeing payment processes throughout the duration of clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating standardized budget templates and cost structures for various clinical trial types.
  • Negotiating financial agreements for both new and revised trials, including payment schedules.
  • Engaging in contract negotiations between sponsors and institutional representatives.
  • Reviewing and revising billing coverage analyses to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Generating invoices for administrative fees, procedures, patient visits, and reimbursements.
  • Overseeing grants and funds, and reconciling payments upon study completion.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure correct billing practices.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
Compensation Range: $55,000 - $70,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, inclusive of comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant experience, or six years of progressive experience in budget analysis or financial planning.

Physical Requirements: Primarily sedentary with frequent computer use. Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings and programs.
