Position Summary:
The Sensor Validation Engineer will possess expertise in validating high-performance sensors through meticulous data collection and analytical techniques. This role involves close collaboration with algorithm and software teams to design and implement tests aimed at assessing the performance and dependability of radar sensors. The engineer will be responsible for conducting thorough root cause analysis and producing comprehensive test reports and documentation. Data collection activities will take place in outdoor environments utilizing vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or physics
- Proficient in data analysis, including statistical methods
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for data analysis
- Adept at conveying complex topics to senior stakeholders
- Valid driver's license required
- Skilled in handling large, multi-dimensional data sets
- Familiarity with point clouds and their structures
- Understanding of radar operational principles (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with radar, lidar, cameras, or IMUs (preferred)
- Strong technical writing capabilities
- Experience in the automotive sector is highly valued
- Must possess a valid driver's license
