As a Lead Engineer for Signal and Sensor Modeling, you will collaborate with a specialized team to develop sophisticated, physics-based modeling solutions within the Department of Defense (DoD) domain. Your work will focus on advancing technologies in the Electro-Optics/Infra-Red (EO/IR) sector, enabling engineers to understand complex energy transport phenomena, which are crucial for designing and testing future artificial intelligence algorithms and hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovate and implement advanced modeling techniques.
  • Create new C++ models that are both extensible and maintainable.
  • Integrate EO or Radio Frequency (RF) phenomenology with advanced physics concepts into software applications.
  • Facilitate the success of our clients through the effective adoption of modeling solutions.
  • Work efficiently within established software products across various programming languages and technical environments.
  • Research and develop pioneering EO or RF modeling solutions.
  • Coordinate with multiple development teams to address and resolve complex software and physics challenges.
  • Provide mentorship and share expertise in EO or RF with team members.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, along with eight (8) years of relevant work or academic experience.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented software design, programming in C or C++, and utilizing MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line environments.
  • Experience in Electro-Optics (EO), radar processing, imaging systems, energy transport, radar physics, or signal processing algorithms.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU-accelerated programming languages and sensor modeling technologies.
  • Background in electronic warfare modeling, signal processing algorithms for missile applications, or AI/ML techniques.
  • Familiarity with real-time programming and software change management tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with adjacent engineering disciplines such as Signal Processing and Systems Engineering.
  • Current Department of Defense clearance.
