Lead Engineer for Signal and Sensor Modeling

As a Lead Engineer for Signal and Sensor Modeling, you will collaborate with a specialized team to design sophisticated, physics-based modeling frameworks within the Department of Defense (DoD) sector. Your contributions will focus on the Electro-Optics/Infra-Red (EO/IR) field, facilitating a deeper understanding of energy transport phenomena and aiding in the creation and testing of next-generation artificial intelligence algorithms and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of innovative modeling methodologies.
- Create extensible and maintainable C++ models.
- Implement EO or Radio Frequency (RF) phenomenology and advanced physics principles in software applications.
- Support client success through effective modeling solutions.
- Work seamlessly within established software frameworks across various programming languages and technical environments.
- Research and pioneer new EO or RF modeling techniques.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to address complex software and physics challenges.
- Provide mentorship and share expertise in EO or RF technologies with colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, along with eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in object-oriented software design, with programming skills in C or C++, and experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line environments.
- Experience in Electro-Optics (EO), radar processing, imaging systems, energy transport, radar physics, and signal processing algorithms.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU-accelerated programming languages and sensor modeling technologies.
- Background in electronic warfare modeling, signal processing for missile systems, and AI/ML techniques.
- Familiarity with real-time programming and software change management practices.
- Ability to collaborate with adjacent engineering disciplines, including Signal Processing and Systems Engineering.
- Current Department of Defense clearance.
