Senior Principal Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing advanced physics-based modeling solutions in the DoD Space.
Key Responsibilities- Champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
- Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
- Deploy EO or Radio Frequency (RF) phenomenology and advanced physics concepts in a software implementation.
- Enable our customer's success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.
- Work efficiently inside an established software product, across programming languages, and technical environments.
- Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
- Coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems.
- Mentor and share EO or RF expertise with your team.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and ten (10) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas:
- Experience applying object-oriented software design, programming in C or C++, and using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows DOS command line.
- Experience in Electro-Optics (EO), radar processing, Imaging EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing or discrimination algorithms.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree.
- Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU accelerated languages/architectures and Scene Generation / Sensor Modeling technologies.
- Experience with electronic warfare modeling, developing signal processing algorithms for missile applications, signal & image processing, digital communications, or estimation theory, or AI/ML and training techniques.
- Experience with Real-time Programming, software change management tools and processes, using and augmenting Build Systems (Make/CMake), and working with large production software environment.
- Experience with and ability to interface with adjacent engineering disciplines (Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering).
- Current Department of Defense Clearance.
