Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radar/RF System Engineer to join our Lunewave Engineering team in Tucson, AZ. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of radar and RF systems, as well as experience in hardware development and systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced radar and RF systems, including front-end antenna technology and back-end processing components.
  • Conduct trade studies and create models to evaluate competing solutions and provide recommendations for best courses of action.
  • Participate in the development, integration, verification, validation, and debug of RF and radar systems.
  • Provide guidance and support for RF and radar system testing and data analysis.
  • Interact with internal and external personnel on technical matters related to RF system design, requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Lead research into the solution of radar and RF-related engineering problems.
  • Advise on the planning for the implementation of engineering solutions, including strategic objectives and timetables for technical development.
  • Participate in the allocation of technical resources and professional staff to achieve objectives.
  • Prepare status/progress reports and ensure compliance with reporting and safety standards.
  • Function as a key participant in attracting and retaining engineering business and professional staff.
  • Counsel, mentor, and transfer highly specialized technical engineering knowledge to team members.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
  • Requires a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability by directing/developing the solution(s) to highly technical and complex engineering problems.
  • Expertise in RF/microwave engineering and related simulation software tools is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and ability to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency is preferred.
