Internal Wholesaler

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Internal Wholesaler to join our team at Angel Oak Capital Advisors. As an Internal Wholesaler, you will play a critical role in generating sales and meetings for our investment products within a specified geographic territory.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Develop leads and actively solicit new investment product sales and meetings through targeted outreach to financial advisors within the RIA Channel.
- Schedule and Facilitate Meetings: Schedule meetings for our External Wholesaler with prospects and existing producers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Manage Sales Cycles: Manage prospects and producers throughout the entire sales cycle, providing exceptional support and guidance to drive sales growth.
- Conduct Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Document Daily Activities: Document all daily activities, such as relevant calls, emails, and follow-up activities, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Prepare Marketing Materials: Prepare investment marketing materials and presentations to effectively communicate our products and services to financial advisors.
- Support Sales and Client Retention: Support sales and client/asset retention efforts for our External Wholesaler partner, ensuring strong relationships and loyalty.
- Develop Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain strong product, industry, market, and economic knowledge to effectively communicate our value proposition to financial advisors.
- Compliance and Regulatory: Adhere to all compliance/firm guidelines and requirements, ensuring a strong understanding of regulatory obligations and industry standards.
- Goal-Oriented and Results-Driven: A goal-oriented, highly motivated, organized, and self-directed individual who consistently strives to exceed expectations.
- Positive Attitude and High Activity Level: Maintain a positive attitude, high level of activity, and be motivated by surpassing goals and increasing sales within their territory.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university required, with a Business, Economics, or Finance major. 3+ years of financial services experience, with prior Internal Wholesaling or Financial Advisor experience preferred.
- Professional Certifications: FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 6, with a clean U-4. Proficient knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written, sales, presentation, and telephone skills, with a competitive, results-oriented mindset. Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong Understanding of Asset Allocation: Demonstrates a strong understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction process.
- Investment Knowledge: Strong understanding of investment trends, financial concepts, real estate, and credit markets.
- Complex Topic Articulation: Ability to grasp and articulate complex topics.
- Financial Advisor Knowledge: Knowledge of financial advisor practices.
- Team Player: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
- Results-Oriented: Motivated to achieve success.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing, strong interpersonal skills, with a coachable attitude.
- Time Management and Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills.
