About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at United Nations FCU. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring their financial needs are met, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide service excellence to members, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize the service excellence model to provide a memorable member experience with each interaction.
  • Present the features and benefits of our products and services to members, ensuring they are aware of their options and make informed decisions.
  • Meet, greet, and direct members, coordinating appointments with other branch staff as needed.
  • Research and resolve member account and loan issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing regulations, products, procedures, and technology, applying this knowledge to provide expert advice to members.
  • Verify member eligibility, establish new memberships, and open new accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Perform opening and maintenance activities on accounts and memberships, adhering to compliance regulations.
  • Respond to member inquiries and requests, preparing responses in accordance with our Corporate Communication Guidelines.
  • Provide overrides and signing of official checks, and initiate wires within authority limits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all member account information.
  • Participate in Credit Union training programs, enhancing your skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, upholding our commitment to service excellence.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in banking.
  • Notary public required or must be obtained within 90 days.
  • Computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of regulations pertaining to accounts, service, confidentiality, disclosure requirements, and lending.
  • Banking product knowledge and adherence to banking guidelines.
