Key Responsibilities
  • Develop engaging content for diverse audiences and channels, including longform and short-form pieces.
  • Enhance content quality through meticulous editing and a deep understanding of impactful storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain and develop the Museum's style guide, ensuring consistency across all content.
  • Create narratives that are grammatically sound, aligned with the Museum's values, and free from jargon.
  • Provide guidance and review to writers and editors across the museum, ensuring content reflects the Museum's voice and adheres to high standards.
  • Manage content workflows and processes to optimize efficiency and meet organizational goals.
  • Engage with content creators, acting as a supportive challenger and ensuring resources are utilized effectively.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a writing role, preferably in a fast-paced editorial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of digital content creation and the ability to distill complex information into engaging, audience-specific content.
  • Mastery of a style guide and a proactive approach to its maintenance are essential.
  • Proficiency in managing workflows and expectations to steer content from conceptual drafts to compelling finalized copy.
  • Excellent command of language and the ability to enforce and abide by style guide standards.
  • Ability to evaluate copy for voice and tone, especially when optimizing for different audience profiles.
  • Proven collaborator who can foster a team environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining precision and attention to detail.
  • Technical writing experience is a plus.
