About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Services Manager to join our team at Mercy. As a key member of our perioperative leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of perioperative nurses and support staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the perioperative team and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical and operational best practices and implement changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in perioperative nursing, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Perioperative certification (e.g. CNOR, CAPA) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
