The Box Office Coordinator at The Salt Shed plays a crucial role in supporting the Box Office Manager by executing various ticketing and administrative responsibilities. This position also involves leading the box office operations during designated hours and providing guidance to staff on event days.


ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Oversee the weekly box office operations every Friday morning, along with additional special hours for offsite ticket sales.
  • Facilitate ticket sales and upgrades for patrons.
  • Assist in organizing artist VIP, guest, photo/press, and staff lists.
  • Manage ticket purchases and distributions for sponsors, VIPs, and artist teams.
  • Handle venue inbox and respond to guest inquiries via phone or email.
  • Address guest questions and assist with lost items, directions, information about upcoming events, and more.
  • Resolve guest concerns with exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a well-organized and efficient box office environment.
  • Aid in the setup and management of Salt Shed shows and upsells available on Ticketmaster.
  • Direct staff in box office operations on event days as required.
  • Organize artist VIP, guest, photo/press, and staff lists, ensuring accurate event credentials are provided.
  • Actively monitor all ticket inventory.
  • Respond to guest inquiries with outstanding customer service via phone and venue email, while keeping the venue office stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Organize lost and found items for the venue.
  • Process employee ticket requests efficiently.
  • Assist the Box Office Manager and General Manager with general office management tasks.
  • Undertake additional administrative tasks or projects as assigned by the Box Office Manager.

This position requires a commitment of 30+ hours per week, with compensation ranging from $20 to $22 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Availability to work 30+ hours per week, including regular office hours and events as assigned.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or ticketing role is essential.
  • Familiarity with Ticketmaster is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
  • An appreciation for diverse cultures, music, and art forms is important.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing ancillary products such as upsells and premium hospitality offerings is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines are critical.
  • Experience in effective communication with staff, guests, and VIPs, providing excellent customer service across all levels of business operations is required.
  • The role necessitates the ability to stand for extended periods and work in a loud indoor and outdoor environment.
