Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is tasked with supporting the procurement team in various functions including material orders, data management, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the procurement team to facilitate order placements.
  • Engages with suppliers to monitor delivery timelines and back orders, ensuring timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of supplier pricing within the ERP system and associated spreadsheets.
  • Assists in processing material receipts and coordinates bulk deliveries to adhere to project timelines.
  • Facilitates the return of materials and manages credit processes.
  • Supports the RFQ and RFP procedures to gather essential product information, including pricing and availability.
Qualifications for Success:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement or customer service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with procurement practices and systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP software (COINS preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a continuous improvement setting.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively with suppliers, customers, project teams, and accounting personnel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
