Position Overview:
As a key member of our finance team, you will assist the Controller in overseeing the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring asset protection, and preparing comprehensive financial reports in line with generally accepted accounting principles and HEI Hotels and Resorts standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and ensure the accuracy of Night Audit tasks, focusing on receivables, including the reconciliation of banquet check extensions and coding of banquets at cost.
  • Post city ledger payments in the property management system, manage billing for all city ledger accounts, and follow up on billing and credit collection documentation.
  • Reconcile credit card documentation with the General Cashier Summary and address any discrepancies with the Controller.
  • Establish new accounts following established credit policies.
  • Assist in reconciling outstanding account items.
  • Input and maintain the General Cashier Summary documentation.
  • Organize and process credit card cancellations and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures, including validating purchase order details against invoices.
  • Route invoices for approval, ensuring accurate account coding and timely returns.
  • Process approved invoices for payment, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached.
  • Manage vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements.
  • Maintain organized files for open invoices, paid invoices, and voided checks.
  • Submit logs of manual checks to the Controller.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Compensation: $24.50 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Experience in accounting and the hospitality industry is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to compile and analyze financial data.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and calculators.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles for various audiences.
