Position Overview:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to collaborate and lead across various functions and roles, possess a robust foundation in accounting, and utilize data-driven analytics to foster confidence and pinpoint growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete operational, financial, and systemic environment, along with essential upstream and downstream processes that influence financial and customer outcomes.
- Ensure the application, enforcement, and execution of the Company's accounting and operational policies pertinent to the role.
- Conduct analyses to support reserves, including bad debt and contra-revenue.
- Collaborate closely with business unit partners, accounting leads, and internal/external auditors on accounting-related matters.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to comprehend company offerings and implement accounting models that accurately reflect both assets and liabilities in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Enhance analytics and operational capabilities to guarantee efficient and precise accounting results.- Manage month-end and quarter-end closing processes and associated responsibilities for the accounting department.
- Prepare and maintain reports/schedules for senior management and compile schedules requested by internal and external auditors.
Qualifications: - 7+ years of technical accounting experience, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations, with a background in the lending sector.
- BS or BA Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical accounting details in layman's terms to non-accounting business partners.
- Strong technical (GAAP) and financial accounting skills, with the capability to document accounting conclusions in a technical white paper.
- Experience in public accounting or within a large public company is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in large accounting software packages (e.g., Oracle Financials).
