Job Summary:

As a Support Specialist with the Human Service Forum, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of families residing in our 24-hour family housing program. You will provide various support services to the program and work collaboratively with a team of professionals to aid families in gaining self-sufficiency and locating permanent housing.

Responsibilities:

  • Submit all required paperwork as per DCHD and New England Farmworkers Council guidelines.
  • Ensure participants receive safe and decent care and services.
  • Assist with case management and respond to emergencies.
  • Conduct intakes and physical inspections of properties as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate database records.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with government safety guidelines to minimize COVID-19 exposure.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience working with low-income or disadvantaged populations from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to respond calmly and reasonably in crisis situations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Spanish/English proficiency preferred.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Work Schedule:
Saturday and Sunday, 4:00pm-12:00am

Compensation:
$16.00/Hr.
