Objective:


Heffernan Insurance Brokers is seeking a dedicated Assistant Account Manager to become a vital part of its Commercial Lines division.

We are in search of a proactive individual who is eager to develop a career with significant opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage Renewal Processing Workflow as directed by Account Manager(s). This includes ordering loss runs, updating applications, maintaining existing Statements of Values (SOVs), spreadsheets, and ordering Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs).
Handle the processing of binders and endorsements.
Conduct audits following review by the Account Manager.
Manage invoicing tasks as assigned.
Follow up on claims and coordinate the issuance of Certificates of Insurance and Evidence of Insurance, including renewals.
Create and maintain mail-merge documents and draft proposals.
Process un-routed attachments and retrieve carrier documents.
Respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries.
Track and resolve open activities in the EPIC agency management system.
Pursue and obtain Property & Casualty license along with other continuing education opportunities.
Ensure thorough documentation while adhering to proper Errors & Omissions procedures.
Perform other duties typical of servicing commercial accounts and any special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education - High School diploma or GED is required.
1+ year of experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
Experience in an office setting is advantageous.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
Must demonstrate organizational skills and effective time management.
Professional demeanor and behavior are expected, in line with the Heffernan Habits.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is between $55,000 and $65,000, influenced by geographic location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may also qualify for a discretionary annual incentive program. Heffernan provides a comprehensive benefits package; further details can be found.
