CT Scan Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our dynamic team at Nuvance Health. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT scans of patients while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
Introduce and greet patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
Responsible for the care and safety of patients during the scanning process.
Instruct and prepare patients for CT exams, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
Determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions for patients, shielding them accordingly to minimize radiation exposure.
Produce high-quality CT scans, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
Assist with training students and ancillary personnel, promoting a culture of learning and development.
Interact professionally with patients and family members, providing exceptional customer service.
Complete all work before clocking out and leaving, ensuring a smooth transition for the next shift.
Attend annual hospital review (compliance) and departmental in-services meetings as scheduled, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices.
Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Minimum one year of experience in CT Scan technology, with a strong understanding of scanning protocols and patient care.
BLS, CT State RT License, or New Graduates under CT Temporary Practice Provisions, with a valid ARRT certification.
Continuing education, with a minimum of 24 CEU credits for license renewal.
Maintains current knowledge of professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
Experience with patient care in a radiology setting, with a strong focus on patient safety and comfort.
