Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee benefits-related inquiries from HR colleagues and senior management.
  • Oversee the administration of all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, wellness programs, long-term disability, and leave administration.
  • Ensure benefits programs comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA, and stay up-to-date on legislative changes that may impact benefits.
  • Analyze benefits data and trends to provide recommendations for improving existing programs or implementing new ones that meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
  • Collaborate with external benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants to resolve issues and optimize service delivery.
  • Review and finalize communications regarding benefits enrollment, changes, and updates.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on benefits-related inquiries from employees, HR colleagues, and senior management.
  • Participate in the annual benefits enrollment process, including plan design, cost analysis, and benchmarking against industry standards.
  • Participate in special projects related to benefits enhancements, system upgrades, or process improvements.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience, minimum of 4 years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Thorough understanding of employee benefits laws and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in benefits administration software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
