Job Description

BoldX Talent is hiring on behalf of Innovo Benefits Group, a Boston-based benefits administration and management consulting firm.

About the role

**This position is remote/hybrid, with a requirement to reside in the New England area for client travel and quarterly meetings.**

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of small to mid-size clients across various industries.
  • Oversee client retention and develop ongoing relationships with carriers and clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients and their employees as the subject matter expert on insurance coverages, products, and services.
  • Strategize opportunities to enhance service through new services, cost control, and technology.
  • Review proposals and detailed insurance plan analyses, negotiate with carriers, and recommend renewal actions.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory issues, and communicate to clients as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with plan rules, legal requirements, reporting, and overall regulatory adherence.
  • Prepare presentations and lead client meetings, conduct benefits benchmarking analyses, and obtain vendor proposals.
  • Analyze carriers, plan designs, funding options, and employee contributions.
  • Use software to draft plan documents, employee communications, and 5500 filings.
  • Create and update benefit guides, ensuring client resources and communications are up-to-date.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews on other Innovo employee work products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, with Health/Life/Accident state licensure.
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in health and welfare benefits brokerage.
  • Experience with health and welfare benefits plans, including medical, dental, life, disability, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with self-funded plans and claims reporting and analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
