Job Title: Benefits Account Specialist

Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is a leading public sector solutions implementation and operations improvement firm that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits Account Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Social Security benefits related to child welfare programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Social Security benefits for foster youth, including basic accounting, reconciliations, and tracking of benefit information.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to case workers on benefit-related matters.
  • Review and approve requests for funds on behalf of foster youth, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the opening and management of ABLE accounts to support the financial needs of foster youth.
  • Send notifications and statements to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise records of all benefit activities and transactions.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or 2 years relevant experience.
  • Human Service or public sector background preferred.
  • Strong skills with Word, Excel, and other Outlook Microsoft products.
  • Professional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that is focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.
