Job Summary:

Arizona Department of Administration is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Highway Operations Technician. This role is responsible for providing and preserving a safe and efficient transportation system for the traveling public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate motorized vehicles and equipment to maintain roadways and infrastructure
  • Perform pavement care and preservation, landscape care and preservation, and roadside shoulder restoration and repairs
  • Deliver equipment and materials to various locations
  • Ensure environmental compliance and vehicle/equipment care
Requirements:
  • 6 months of Roadway/Highway job-related experience
  • Ability to operate motorized vehicles and heavy-duty equipment
  • Knowledge of signing/striping of roadways, pavement care and preservation, and roadway operations
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year of job-related Roadway/Highway experience
  • Arizona CDL (Class A) permit within 90 days from the date of hire
  • Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's license (CDL) for a manual transmission within 6 months of hire

Working Conditions:
