JOB DESCRIPTION: SURGICAL TECHNICIAN

United Surgical Partners is seeking a meticulous Surgical Technician to support our surgical teams. In this role, you will be essential in assisting surgical staff and ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are prepared and functioning optimally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist surgical teams during procedures and patient care tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Set up necessary devices and monitoring tools for surgeries.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on surgical supplies.
  • Ensure that all surgical areas are stocked with necessary materials.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior surgical technicians.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is in excellent condition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technician program.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Ability to lift and transport surgical equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations.
  • Prior experience in training and staff development is preferred.
