About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional System Designer II to join our team at Chenega MIOS SBU. As an Instructional System Designer II, you will play a critical role in creating and developing training materials to support technical subject matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Course Development: Create and revise training products by evaluating Subject Matter Expert (SME) data, reference materials, and technical content to produce effective learning products.
  • Needs Analysis: Demonstrate effective needs analysis, course design, course development, quality management, evaluation, and project management skills.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate with a team of other ISDs to create and develop training materials.
  • Content Creation: Independently develop entry and advanced-level courses, including outlines, learning objectives, assessments, and supporting materials.
  • Validation: Perform validation of instructor-led and computer-based instructional material.
  • Collaboration: Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and synthesize course content based on written material, previous training courses, interviews, etc.
  • Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct analysis of student training results, drawing conclusions to make recommendations to improve training approaches and content.
  • Teamwork: Participate in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to define training objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree or 4+ years of experience related to Strategic Weapons System (SWS), Attack Weapon System (AWS), Navigation Electronics training, or similar military technical experience.
  • Training and Experience: Formal training in instructional methodology and adult learning gained from military training schools and/or college education; military experience and education may substitute for formal college education.
  • Clearance: DoD Secret Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, and pronunciation.
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles: Knowledge and application of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
  • Technical Skills: Proven working experience in instructional design and instructional technology, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
