Position Overview:

As a Logistics Materials Specialist within the Kinetic Engineering and OSP Construction team, you will take charge of all aspects related to construction materials and inventory management. This includes the precise execution of daily picking and staging of construction materials, as well as ensuring accurate system shipping to maintain job number integrity and inventory precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct dock and stock operations, including picking, packing, unpacking, and shipping materials.
  • Prepare materials for upcoming construction projects through effective staging.
  • Load and unload materials from various transport methods, ensuring proper placement in designated stock locations.
  • Perform counting, weighing, and verification of materials to ensure accuracy.
  • Schedule and prepare necessary documentation for outbound freight pick-ups.
  • Utilize hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts, and other equipment to handle materials efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment while performing stock location cleaning.
  • Ensure accurate system accounting and coding of all materials, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with radio-frequency devices for inventory transaction recording.
  • Proactive approach to initiating work or projects independently.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Capability to read and comprehend written materials easily.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety practices and procedures.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy materials, occasionally exceeding 50 pounds, and climb ladders.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of experience, including 3 years directly related to material management.
  • Experience in operating warehouse material handling equipment, including forklifts.
