Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Midwest Logistic Systems. As a Trailer Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs on company trailers, handling annual inspections and preventative maintenance, and completing troubleshooting and component replacements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine repairs: Diagnose and repair minor trailer electrical systems, complete routine rebuilds and replacements, and communicate status updates with internal customers.
  • Handle annual inspections and preventative maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure trailers are in good working condition.
  • Complete troubleshooting and component replacements: Use technical skills to identify and repair issues with trailer components.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree: A technical degree in welding, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience is required.
  • Skills: Basic welding skills, experience with computer systems, and the ability to provide own tools within 30 days of hire are required.
  • Certifications: Vehicle and Brake Inspector Certified is a plus.
