Position Overview:

The Credit Risk Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Credit Risk and Reporting Manager. This position is essential for executing various tasks related to asset quality assessment, concentration analysis, and credit loss allowances. The analyst ensures high standards of accuracy and provides exceptional internal customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports for management and the Board of Directors, analyzing credit risk trends across different portfolios and regions.
  2. Maintain and analyze a modeling database that includes critical data elements from the core system, facilitating timely and precise Allowance for Credit Loss (ACL) reporting.
  3. Conduct monthly asset quality reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and continuous improvement in data aggregation.
  4. Perform detailed concentration analysis, focusing on asset quality, trends, and macroeconomic factors.
  5. Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collateral monitoring and Commercial Credit compliance.
  6. Review ongoing Credit Risk reporting features, implementing improvements as necessary to align with regulatory changes.
  7. Analyze data exceptions and collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy of data used in comprehensive reporting.
  8. Engage in additional duties and projects as assigned.

Accountability: All employees are expected to act as risk managers, understanding and addressing the risks encountered in their daily operations as per the risk management program of First National Bank of Pennsylvania.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is required.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient customer service abilities.
  • Competence in using personal computers and relevant software.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint; intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as SAS, Python, or MS Power BI.
