About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at IKEA. As a key member of our unit, you will play a critical role in driving function performance and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote risk awareness within the unit to support informed decision-making aligned with unit goals and business plans.
  • Support the Risk Manager in analyzing Safety & Security trends to identify, manage, and mitigate key risks in the unit.
  • Ensure accurate administration of accounting practices, purchase orders, and invoices, adhering to legal requirements and IKEA financial rules.
  • Support the unit in ensuring operational Compliance with internal and external expectations.
  • Ensure unit compliance with local, state, and federal requirements for operational licenses.
  • Manage access to the internal control system(s) and supports unit leadership in ensuring timely and accurate use.
  • Collaborate with the Unit Management Team to analyze risks, establish local controls, and integrate key internal controls for streamlined operational efficiency and a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

  • 2 years of related experience in Safety, Security, and/or Compliance.
  • Knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring compliance with federal laws and regulations and internal guidance.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
