Position Overview:

The Credit Risk Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Credit Risk and Reporting Manager. This position focuses on various responsibilities including asset quality reporting, concentration analysis, allowance for credit loss, credit monitoring, stress testing, and the ongoing evaluation of data quality across the organization. The analyst is expected to deliver precise results while ensuring exceptional service to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports for management and the Board of Directors.
  2. Analyze credit risk trends across different portfolios and regions to identify potential regulatory, policy, or operational risks.
  3. Develop written analyses to communicate findings to management effectively.
  4. Maintain and analyze a modeling database that includes essential data elements from the core system to support the timely completion of Allowance for Credit Loss (ACL) reporting, including Dodd Frank Act Stress Test (DFAST) reporting.
  5. Conduct monthly asset quality reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance and timely delivery.
  6. Perform detailed loan concentration analyses, focusing on asset quality, trends, and macroeconomic factors.
  7. Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collateral monitoring and Commercial Credit compliance.
  8. Continuously assess Credit Risk reporting features and implement process improvements as directed by management.
  9. Analyze data exception reports and collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy of data used in reporting.
  10. Execute additional duties and projects as assigned.

Education Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Experience Requirements: No prior experience is necessary.

Skills Required:

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and job-related software.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, intermediate skills in MS Excel, and basic understanding of MS PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as SAS, Python, or MS Power BI.
