About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join IKEA as a Risk Management Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the everyday life of our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Risk Awareness: Facilitate informed decision-making within the unit to align with business objectives and strategies.
  • Analyze Safety & Security Trends: Collaborate with the Risk Manager to identify, address, and mitigate key risks effectively.
  • Ensure Compliance: Manage accounting procedures, purchase orders, and invoices while adhering to legal standards and IKEA financial regulations.
  • Maintain Operational Compliance: Support the unit in maintaining operational compliance according to internal and external expectations.
  • Guarantee Compliance with Licensing Requirements: Oversee access to internal control systems and assist unit leadership in ensuring timely and precise utilization.
  • Evaluate Risks and Establish Controls: Collaborate with the Unit Management Team to evaluate risks, establish local controls, and integrate essential internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Foster a Positive Work Environment: Emphasize the diversity among colleagues and customers, and promote an environment where the IKEA culture thrives.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 Years of Relevant Experience: In Safety, Security, and/or Compliance.
  • Proficiency in Change Initiatives: Devising and implementing change initiatives, along with managing stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with Compliance Procedures: Evaluating, assessing, and monitoring compliance with federal laws, regulations, and internal directives.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel, with an estimated requirement of less than 5% (approximately 1 day per month on average).
