About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Upward Projects Holdings. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll assist the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.

Your primary goal will be to maintain the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen, while directing a team of culinary professionals to achieve this goal.

You'll be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring the quality and safety of products, and providing financial accuracy of sales, expenses, and inventory.

As a leader, you'll mentor and develop the skills of your team members, guide them to make informed decisions, and foster a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering outstanding food experiences that exceed guest expectations
  • Providing direction, delegation, and trust to your culinary team
  • Managing inventory and ensuring quality and safety of products
  • Providing financial accuracy of sales, expenses, and inventory
  • Mentoring and developing the skills of team members
  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of full-service restaurant kitchen management experience or 3-5 years of service industry management experience. An Associate's degree in Culinary, Hospitality, Management, or Business is preferred. State Food Handler's Management Certification is required.
