Job Description

This position is responsible for conducting enterprise-wide business analysis of web applications for the Office of Information Management (OIM) and its customers. As a Business Systems Analyst at Serigor Inc., you will work closely with multiple stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and development teams to document business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop business requirements in response to requests for systems enhancements, modifications, and newly identified business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to ensure requirements are incorporated into systems design and testing.
  • Evaluate alternative strategies and make recommendations for viable solutions that are compatible with current technologies and systems.
  • Develop requirements documentation and business flow diagrams.
  • Participate in functional and systems integration unit testing; create test plans, scenarios, and testing results.
  • Assist customers with testing and provide implementation and maintenance support.
  • Meet regularly with customers and proactively make suggestions for systems and process improvement.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed of key issues that may impact project implementation.
  • Facilitate project conference calls, status meetings, and planning sessions.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, system development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, and quality assurance techniques.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL), business process engineering methods, and multiple project management methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Healthcare Information Systems.
  • Experience performing systems analysis, architecting technical solutions, and/or coordinating application development projects.
  • Knowledge of the Commonwealth of Virginia Information Security Standard, SEC 501.
  • Experience with RFPs; creation, coordination, and review.
