Job Title: Director, Product Operations

Blue Shield of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Product Operations to lead the operational aspects of the product lifecycle across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure alignment with company goals and market demands.
  • Optimize processes for product offering management development, launch, and lifecycle management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product operations and successful launches.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure each phase of the product lifecycle is optimized and completed on schedule and within scope.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform operational strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and executive leadership on product operations progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in product operations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
  • Integrate customer feedback into product operations to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a college degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years in Healthcare Product experience, including 6 years of management experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience with a health plan with experience in health plan operations.
  • Requires Product Management Lifecycle operations experience.
  • Requires experience communicating progress and updates with leadership and the ability to influence to gain buy-in.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of the healthcare system.
  • Requires experience with change management processes.
Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $165,990.00 to $248,930.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
