Job Summary:

First Citizens Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Lending group, you will be responsible for providing sales support to our lenders, identifying business opportunities, and building strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing sales support to lenders, including identifying business opportunities, coordinating sales materials, and setting up sales calls.
  • Originate, process, and ensure accuracy of loan documentation for closings, including entering financial information into our loan system and ensuring all necessary documentation is included in the loan package.
  • Resolving documentation exception issues, maintaining service levels, updating financial statements, and preparing files for portfolio reviews.
  • Run reports to track maturing lines/loans and service levels.
  • Communicate, report, and follow up on portfolio past dues to ensure they remain current, while maintaining customer contact.
  • Coordinate opening of deposit and other banking services with branch partners, handle customer requests for information, and provide problem resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years' experience in sales, customer service, or operations, or commercial lending.
  • Experience in commercial loan documentation, commercial lending support, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other office support systems and programs.
  • Prior work experience in a business/commercial/corporate banking environment is strongly preferred.
