Job Responsibilities

As a Construction Engineering Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating the successful delivery of construction projects from start to finish. You will collaborate closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Support the comprehensive management of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to meet project goals and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and key milestones, providing regular updates to the project management team.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing project contracts, change orders, and other relevant documentation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Help procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
  • Support the project team in addressing project challenges, conflicts, and delays.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting notes, correspondence, and records.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting project status reports to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Help manage and coordinate project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and client handover.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar capacity within the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
