About the Role

As a key member of the construction team, the Project Engineer will be instrumental in facilitating the successful delivery of construction initiatives from start to finish. This position involves close collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that all projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Work in tandem with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and key milestones, providing regular updates to the project management team.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project contracts, change orders, and related documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Support the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Help prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
  • Assist the project team in resolving issues, conflicts, and delays that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and records.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Assist in managing project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and client handover.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar capacity within the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
