Inventory Control Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Inventory Control Specialist is tasked with the efficient organization, movement, and monitoring of all materials within the inventory and assembly areas. Daily responsibilities encompass:
- Receiving materials into the inventory or assembly locations, confirming accurate counts for each transaction, ensuring that items are appropriately packaged and labeled, and placing them in designated storage areas.
- Issuing components to the assembly or production teams.
- Processing customer parts orders.
- Adhering to proper FIFO and/or lot tracking protocols when storing, issuing, or relocating items.
- Documenting inventory transactions in the Dynex computer system.
- Conducting cycle counts and/or periodic physical inventory assessments.
Additionally, the Inventory Control Specialist may be required to perform or assist with various other tasks, including but not limited to: assembling minor components and sub-assemblies; performing light cleaning and rust prevention; degreasing and painting; receiving incoming materials; assisting in packing orders and constructing cardboard boxes; loading and unloading trucks; maintaining cleanliness in the workspace; and operating company vehicles for material pickup and delivery.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Clean driving record.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Forklift operation experience is advantageous, but training will be provided.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
